New 2016 Polls Show No Clear Leader Among GOP Pack


A trio of new polls suggest former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would beat out Republicans Jeb Bush and Scott Walker in three key states if the election were held today — but show a GOP field that is still wide open.

According to the new polls from NBC News and Marist, Clinton would beat former Florida Governor Jeb Bush by eight points in Iowa and six points in New Hampshire. In South Carolina, however, Clinton leads Bush by only three points, garnering a nod from 48 percent of potential voters compared to Bush’s 45.

In two of the three states, Clinton also would lead over Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, though both tied with 46 percent of the vote in South Carolina.

But the polls found at least seven possible Republican candidates for president have support in the double-digits in either Iowa, South Carolina, or New Hampshire. Only Bush…
